Barcelona has hundreds of café and restaurants which make it hard to choose the best variant. That is why we decided to make a list of places that are popular among tourists and town residents. Those restaurants have only one disadvantage – you will probably have to book a table in advance.
What restaurants and cafés can you visit in Barcelona
The list of places:
- Elsa y Fred. This restaurant is famous for unique dishes created by professional chefs. It is ideal for romantic dates and heart talk with your friends.
- Cova Fumada. One of the oldest restaurants that are located close to the sea. It is famous for the dish named «The Bomb» - fried potato balls with extra hot sauce. You can also order fried squids and sardines.
- Quimet & Quimet. This restaurant has been opened in 1914 and became so famous that every second TV program made sure they showed this place in one of their shows. The owners of Quimet & Quimet managed to preserve the unique taste of Catalonian food.
- Canete. The door to this café looks abandoned but inside you will find a unique interior and dishes with non-standard taste. The price is a bit high and the food is delicious and nourishing.
- Koy Shunka. Fresh Asian food is made by one of the best Japanese chefs in the world – Hideki Matsuhisa. This pace has been recently awarded a Michelin star. Sometimes the chef will cook in front of you.
- Xiringuito Escriba. This café is located right at the seaside which makes it a dream place for every tourist. The signature dish is delicious paella.
- Cangrejo Loco. A café with a view of the sea has been opened in 1992 – at first it has been named «Mad Crab». Seafood is the main theme here and the prices are not that high.
- Super smoke cannabis club. But for this you need to get cannabis club invitation.
